The sculptures on this page all began with an existing tree on someone's property.  Some trees were storm damaged and needed to come down and others were simply no longer desireable in the landscape. After being topped and cut to a specific height these trees were transformed into new works of art; beautiful reminders of what once grew there.

On site carvings are a fun challenge.  It's already a personal belonging of the customer and usually they have a list or theme of what they want on the tree.   Most had no choice in taking down the tree but wanted something to remember it by.  Each tree is inspected by the artist to ensure it is solid enough to support a carving.  Trees that are rotted or have severe insect damage can not be used.
